The experience entails a brief introduction of forest ecology that tells the dynamics of biodiversity. Participants will be shown samples of heather and other plants found in the heathland and told about the dynamics of this special habitat.
This will be followed by the listening of recorded songs of heathland birds, accompanied by pictures for recognition.
Finally, broomsticks for cleaning the oven will be made from heather broom. Each participant will then make their own broom to take home. Suitable for children too.
